You can save a grouping list as a template. The information captured in the template includes the groups and sub-groups set up in the engagement, as well as the account types and account classifications for each group and sub-group. The template then can be used to replace the existing grouping list for other engagements. In addition, you can delete a grouping list template if it is no longer needed.
First, make any customizations required to your financial or tax grouping list, including adding, editing, and deleting groups and sub-groups. Then, do the following:
Click on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
Click on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
Click Grouping List Templates.
Click Replace with Template.
Select the template to use in the Select Template grid.
Review the template preview to ensure that the groupings are what you expect them to be. You can click theicon next to a group folder to see the subgroups for that group.
Click on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
Click Grouping List Templates.
Click Replace with Template.

Click on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
Click Grouping List Templates.
Select the template to delete in the Templates grid.
Review the template preview to ensure that the groupings are what you expect them to be. You can click theicon next to a group folder to see the subgroups for that group.
Click the ellipsis for the selected template in the Templates grid, then click Delete.
