Managing Tax Sub-groups
You can add, edit, and delete tax sub-groups in the trial balance section of an engagement. Click a link below to view specific instructions.
Add a tax sub-group.
- Click the engagement on the Engagement List page.
- Click on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
- Click Add Accounts/Groups in the toolbar.
- Select Tax Sub-group in the Type box.
- Select the group for this sub-group.
- If needed, modify the index. The index must be unique within the selected tax group and between 1 and 99.
- Enter a name for the sub-group.
- Click Add.
- Click X on the top right of the Add New pane to close the pane.
Edit a tax sub-group.
(missing or bad snippet)- Click Edit/Delete on the toolbar.
- Select Tax Sub-group in the Type box.
- Select the group for the sub-group.
- Select the sub-group you want to edit.
Edit the index and sub-group name as needed.
- Click Save. Your edits will update the tax grouping list in the tax trial balance.
- Click at the top right of the pane to close it.
Delete a tax sub-group.
- Click the engagement on the Engagement List page.
- Click on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
- Click Edit/Delete on the toolbar.
- Select Tax Sub-group in the Type box.
- Select the group for the sub-group.
- Select the sub-group you want to edit.
- Click Delete. The sub-group is removed from the tax grouping list on the Tax trial balance.
- Click at the top right of the pane to close it.
