Managing Tax Sub-groups

You can add, edit, and delete tax sub-groups in the trial balance section of an engagement. Click a link below to view specific instructions.

Note: The Tax trial balance is not available in consolidated engagements at this time, so tax sub-groups cannot be created for those engagements.

  1. Click Edit/Delete on the toolbar.
  2. Select Tax Sub-group in the Type box.
  3. Select the group for the sub-group.

    Tip: If you enter the index or name for the tax group, the list of groups will automatically filter to include only the groups that match your entered text.

  4. Select the sub-group you want to edit.
  5. Edit the index and sub-group name as needed.

  6. Note: The index must be unique within the selected tax group and between 1-99.

  7. Click Save. Your edits will update the tax grouping list in the tax trial balance.
  8. Click at the top right of the pane to close it.

ClosedDelete a tax sub-group.

  1. Click the engagement on the Engagement List page.

    Note: See Using the Engagement List Page for information about using the pagination and search features to find an engagement in the list.

  2. Click on the navigation bar and select Trial Balance.
  3. Click Edit/Delete on the toolbar.
  4. Select Tax Sub-group in the Type box.
  5. Select the group for the sub-group.

    Tip: If you enter the index or name for the group, the list of groups will automatically filter to include only the groups that match your entered text.

  6. Select the sub-group you want to edit.
  7. Click Delete. The sub-group is removed from the tax grouping list on the Tax trial balance.
  8. Click at the top right of the pane to close it.
