Installing, Updating, and Uninstalling Workpaper Monitor

The first time you click on a Microsoft® Word or Microsoft® Excel® workpaper in Engagement View, the installation file for Workpaper Monitor is downloaded. You can use the instructions below to install the application.

After you install Workpaper Monitor, it will run in the background as a system tray application. It will open automatically and display a system tray alert when you click a workpaper name or index on Engagement View.

  1. Click the engagement on the Engagement List page.

    Note: See Using the Engagement List Page for information about using the pagination and search features to find an engagement in the list.

  2. Locate the workpaper you want to edit in Engagement View, and then click its index or name to initiate the Workpaper Monitor installation process.

    Note: If your browser displays a message indicating that the browser is attempting to open an application, select the option to stop displaying the message, and then click Open CCH.Axcess.Engagement.ClientApp.

  3. Click Confirm to download the installation file.
  4. Open the CCH.Axcess.Engagement.ClientApp.application file when the download completes.
  5. Click Install on the Application Install window to start the installation process. Workpaper Monitor opens when the installation is complete.
  6. Click Close on the Installation Complete notification.
  7. Click the index or name of the workpaper again to launch it in its native application.
  8. Note: It's only necessary to click a workpaper more than once to open it the first time you access Workpaper Monitor. Once the application is installed, you only need to click a workpaper once to open it.

If you uninstall Workpaper Monitor after an initial install and then want to reinstall it, you can re-download the application file and install the application with the following procedure.

  1. Click the following link to download the installation file: https://zuscup1castr001.azureedge.net/CCH.Axcess.Engagement.ClientApp.application.

    What happens next depends on your browser and your browser settings. The file might be downloaded to your computer automatically, or you might be prompted to open or download the file. If you receive one of these prompts, select the option to continue with the action. If you do not receive a prompt to open or download the file, check if the file was automatically downloaded to the folder set in your browser for downloads.

  2. If you were not prompted to open the file, double-click the downloaded CCH.Axcess.Engagement.ClientApp.application file to initiate installation.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Click Close on the Installation Complete window.
  5. Click a workpaper name or index in Engagement to open and begin working with the file.

A notification will display in your system tray when new versions of Workpaper Monitor are available. To update the application, do the following:

  1. Close any open workpapers. 
  2. Right-click the application icon in your system tray and select Update Now.
  3. Follow any on-screen instructions as needed to complete the update.

ClosedUninstall Workpaper Monitor.

If needed, you can uninstall Workpaper Monitor by right-clicking the application on the Start menu and selecting Uninstall. If you uninstall the application and later want to reinstall it, use the reinstall instructions above.
